The Honda Civic hybrid made a brief appearance on the market during the 2000s, and it will make a notable return to dealerships starting in the summer of 2024, joining the already marketed CR-V and Accord hybrids.
While the details are still very scattered, the 2025 Honda Civic hybrid is already generating considerable excitement, and the manufacturer anticipates this trim will account for up to 40% of total Civic sales in North America.

For now, Honda has not disclosed any information about the Honda Civic hybrid, its available trims, or their prices. The only indication we have is that the model unveiled in January 2024 is named Sport Touring, but it is unclear if this will be the only trim offered on this side of the Atlantic or if other trims are also planned.
However, Honda has confirmed to Driving magazine that both the sedan and hatchback versions will continue to be available — and that the hatchback version will also be offered in a hybrid trim.
Here too, information is currently provided sparingly. However, the first images available show that the 2025 Civic hybrid features dynamic lines that catch the eye; a honeycomb grille, black shell exterior mirrors, and new rims are part of this model's exterior features.
Furthermore, the manufacturer has not released any interior shots of its 2025 Civic hybrid, but it is expected to closely follow the design found in their respective gasoline versions, as is the case with other hybrids offered by the manufacturer.
To date, the inner and outer dimensions of the 2025 Civic hybrid remain unknown, but they will likely be similar, if not identical, to those of the gasoline versions, as is the case with the Accord and CR-V. In these latter models, only the weight really differs between the gasoline and hybrid trims, as well as the height of the CR-V (+10 mm in hybrid models).

Although Honda has not specified all the details about the technical specs of its Civic hybrid, some data are available.
The 2025 Civic hybrid is equipped with a 2-motor hybrid-electric system, also found in Honda's SUV hybrids and Accord hybrids. The first motor acts as an electric generator for the hybrid system battery, and the second drives the wheels; this setup delivers a net power of 204 horsepower/247 lb-ft of torque; however, it is unknown whether the power will be the same for the Civic hybrid.
Like all Civics, the hybrid version is not recommended for towing; as for the available cargo space, no information has been released yet. For your information, the trunk of the 2024 gasoline Civic provides 419 liters of cargo space.
As of now, the total range of the 2025 Civic hybrid remains unknown, nor how much it will exceed that of the 2024 gasoline Civic, which is close to 700 kilometers.
At this stage, Honda has not yet revealed the list of onboard technologies and safety features that will be available in the hybrid version of its popular Civic.
